For years, I built my life around a corporate career, full calendars, and expectations that often define success in the eyes of others. Somewhere along the way—and after receiving two new hips in my forties—I began asking a different question: what might life look like if I gave my curiosity more room? I have always wanted to live overseas, and now I’m ready to discover what that could actually mean. After traveling to 30 countries, I’ll revisit some familiar places, explore new ones, and consider the life-changing possibilities of a move to Vietnam. Beyond the Return Ticket is where I’ll share that unfolding story, along with practical insights and thoughtful planning resources from the places I’ve experienced. England provided me the first time to really explore on my own a foreign country, mostly London. My time visiting its incredible museums, seeing so much theater and having a fun time in college and as an adult, London provided me a great place to have a lot of wonderful young adult experiences in Europe.
